Clarisonic Face Brush : A Review

Performance
When I got my Clarisonic Face Brush that my best bud’s parents brought from the U.S., I was a happy happy girl, as I envisioned my face with significantly reduced pore size and squeakier and cleaner skin. I opened the box, and it had an instructional DVD, a pamphlet, a charger, two brush heads, and the unit itself. I first watched the DVD and got to learn on how to use the brush on my face, plus read the pamphlet on how to adjust the timer settings and the power settings.
I charged it for more than 12 hours for its initial charging, and started fiddling with the settings.
The default factory settings is one minute, and here’s how to use it in a minute,
For even and thorough cleansing of your face, the Clarisonic features a proprietary one-minute T-timer that beeps and pauses momentarily to indicate it is time to move to another part of your face. We recommend that you spend the first 20 seconds of brush time on your forehead,
20 seconds on your nose/chin region, and 10 seconds on each cheek.
As for the power settings, it had low, normal, and high strength. I opted to keep the settings for one minute, and in normal ( or was it medium ) strength, as I didn’t want my face to be super-scrubbed, and as I tried the low strength, I felt it wasn’t enough. For the timer, as I used the Clarisonic, when I felt that one minute wasn’t enough, I just pressed it again for another minute’s worth of cleansing.
At first use, I was surprised with the gentle pressure of the brush as it glided my skin, but I could not deny my surprise as I felt the pressure because all my life I have only splashed water in my face, and did some fingertip-smoothening on the face as I washed my face. After my first Clarisonic experience, I immediately noticed that my skin went tight, and a little bit shiny ( perhaps from being “scrubbed.”
As for the brush heads, they are definitely not for sharing, like toothbrushes are absolutely for personal use only! After each use, I would wash it with warm water and some soap, and let it dry by itself. I have noticed that after a few weeks, there would be some smell of the brush ( maybe on how it is dried ), so I now know why the brush head must be replaced every three to four months, even if it has self-cleaning anti-bacterial properties.
Results
As for results, I can say that this gem of a beauty gadget actually works! I have observed that the pores on my nose have been significantly smaller, and after each wash, I feel squeaky clean, but I can’t say entirely squeaky clean for I have a very complex comedone problem ( microcomedones, that is ). There are still some left, but they have significantly lessened. My dermatologist tells me that it takes one cycle ( or three months ) to really see the effect of a beauty gadget or a skin care product, so I’m very very hopeful. Just this week I have stopped using this beauty gadget because we were moving and we were supposed to put things in boxes, and my skin did not feel the same - and I just needed it back in my routine. I’m in my purging stage with my Clenziderm skin care, and using the Clarisonic Face Brush with my skin care, I think that they are a great combination as they help control my acne.
Overall, I would recommend the Clarisonic Face Brush to everyone who have stubborn whiteheads, blackheads, and moderate acne. I think for those with cystic acne - they’d hurt a bit ( correct me if I’m wrong ), but for pore-cleaning action, this is definitely the way to go!

The Clarisonic Face Brush sounds like a neat beauty tool that can be quite practical as part of any woman’s skin care treatment.
