Get In Line Kit for Easy Smoky Eyes
When I was checking out Beth Bender’s mineral makeup, I didn’t know that she was on the verge of launching a whole new concept in makeup application - the Get In Line Kit.
Believe me, this beauty tool will be the answer of the problems, of many!
The Get In Line Makeup Kit consists of two stencils in a kit - one for smoky eyes and one for cat eyes. They both have guides on applying eye makeup on the lids, as well as on the lower lashline for eyelining.
I first tried the Smoky Eye stencil because I am such a fan of the smoldering, smoky eyes. They are just so darn sexy! One lonely night ( or rather, boring night ), I grabbed the stencil and followed the instructions in the sheet of paper enclosed in the kit. I applied a generous wash of black on the area of the stencil guide, and as I removed the stencil - waaaa!!! it looked absolutely horrible!
No, the Get In Line Makeup Kit is not horrible - I wasn’t just making any sense! I emailed Beth Bender, the creator of the kit for a video tutorial, and as she guided me to one, I understood where I went wrong - god, I was supposed to blend it! I started doing it again, on my own, as I blended some brown eyeshadow above the area wherein I applied the black shadow, and I noticed the awkward edges to soften and look like “decent eye makeup”, and I added the cream-colored eyeshadow on the brow bone area to highlight. The result? A really, really pair of pretty smoky eyes done really easily! I loved it so much that I have used the stencil for a second time using my loose mineral eyeshadows for other colorful combos. As for the bottom lashline, I didn’t have any difficulty in using it, and it would really be perfect for those who have shaky hands who have trouble applying eyeliner, as they have a concrete guide for drawing a soft line using the synthetic brush.
Overall? I’m keeping the stencils, I’m keeping the stencils! They’re absolutely helpful to anyone, and I mean it! I’m talking about the cat eyes, next!

Julia : This kit is simply amazing! :) My friends have been asking me how I did my smoky eye makeup a week ago - it’s all the stencil! :D
