Smashbox Arced Liner Brush
I’ve been intrigued with the concept of the arced, or bent liner brush for the longest time already. I mean, to be honest, in the eyelining department, I hate pencil eyeliners. I feel that even if they give the most natural effects on the eyes, whenever I’d “draw” a line on my lashline, I’d be irked by the pressure exerted. Not my thing.
Blame it on my Chinese roots for my fondness with calligraphy. I’ve been passionate about mao-pi ( Chinese Calligraphy ) ever since I was in Grade school, and that involved using a brush, wetting it to point its end, dipping it into ink, and writing words. I think with that, I can relate to my eyeliner application - I like using eyeliner brushes, with mineral eyeliner mixed with sealant. I guess, I’ve been a calligraphist for too long and my lids are somewhat flat, and not difficult to apply eyeliner on ( just my luck, I guess! )
The Arced Liner Brush was created for those who had difficulty applying eyeliners using eyeliner brushes. It is said to ease application, and I really agree with that because as I got the Smashbox Masterpiece Eye Makeup Set, I was able to get this arced liner brush, and it was 3 times easier to apply eyeliner than the normal straight eyeliner without the “bend”. I was able to apply eyeliner using the brush “sideways” , just like a highlighter, and really, this is worth the extra splurge since Smashbox brushes are simply superb - my favorite kind.
Beauty Gizmo Care : When using sealant, wash eyeliner brushes quickly. Failure to do so may damage the brush.
