What’s With Denman Brushes?

by Sophia on January 22nd, 2008

denman brush

The famous Denman anti-static rubber pad provides maximum grip and control during blowdrying for smoothing, shaping and polishing the hair.

In my highschool days, the “in” brush was definitely Denman. Everyone who’s who in school would have it, and it was the “brush to have,” actually. But owning Denman brushes are definitely more than status symbols. I assure you that.

When I got my first Denman brush in a simple Classic D3 style, I remember carefully scrutinizing every detail it had - it had sturdy bristles ( smooth nylon pins as the website calls it ), all flexible, and durable. When I would brush my hair using this, it would smooth out my hair pretty well, doing its job well, making my hair manageable. It’s one of those brushes that don’t make your hair frizz from all the brushing because of its “anti-static rubber pad”. I would brush, and brush, and I would see my hair all manageable and looking great. No uncomfortable tangles and it feels great on the scalp.

What impresses me about Denman brushes is that they’re so so durable. Even if they’re worth more than normal brushes, I’ve experienced buying brushes that look like Denman’s, but give up in a few months’ time, either the rubber pad gives up on me, or the bristles become crooked, or some bristles just snap off. With Denman, the only reason that would make you buy again another brush is that when you actually lose it. It’s ultra durable, and the brush pins are very durable that it just won’t snap off no matter how hard you try.

I’m just happy that until now, I still have my Denman D3 brush, after all these years. ( I’m counting at least 4 years? I lost mine during highschool, I bought one during college, and it’s still here with me ). It would be nice to get another one just to sit around the vanity table. Heehee.
