Beauty Gizmo Review : Baby Quasar, Week 1

A few weeks ago ( or maybe a month ago ), I featured Baby Quasar as one of the up and coming beauty gadgets that promises anti-aging and anti-acne benefits, as they stand by the slogan, “healthy skin for life.”
Now, it’s time for Beauty Gizmo to review, and give the real scoop, if Baby Quasar actually lives up to what it claims!
At first look, when I excitedly unboxed the Baby Quasar, it looked like a cute little hammer with little light bulbs ( and I mean really small! ). This beauty gadget comes with an Operator’s Manual that helped me use it, and it has both instructions for anti-aging and anti-acne treatment.
The routine could be summed up as follows :
* Primarily the routine would be for anti-aging - start with a clean face, and apply treatment gel of your choice ( what you normally use ). The kit also contains one bottle of hyaluronic acid that would be helping in reviving moisture on the skin.
* Divide the face into six sections - split the face into left and right halves, then into three horizontal areas.
*Push the button twice until a shining red light shows up. This is the low frequency mode.
*Starting at the area of the left forehead, move wand slowly, about an inch every 8 seconds over the area for 2 minutes, then go down to the next areas, and move up to the other side ( clockwise ). When 2 minutes are up, a faint beep would be heard to move on to the next area. This is the middle frequency mode.
*After the whole face is treated, push the button until a steady read light shows up and repeat.
*After the whole face is treated again, push the button until a green light shows up, and focus on problem areas like stubborn acne , fine lines, or wrinkles. Spend 15 seconds to 30 seconds on each area. This mode is called the Green Light Continuous Wave Mode which has the most power and strength in treating.
* After all of these, it’s all finished!
The total treatment for this would be for about 28 minutes. For frequency of treatment, a suggested six weeks treatment with weekly or bi-weekly treatments is most recommended for anti-aging, and for anti-acne treatments, three days in a row for a week would be great for clearing the skin.
Well, for the review? My Week #1 using the Baby Quasar was very pleasant, and surprising as well. First, I got really excited to review this because I am such a beauty gadgets freak ( does it show? Nah, just a little bit! ), and I was giddy and hopeful that this gadget would really work!
The treatment that I have chosen to pair this beauty gadget with is my Nu Skin Perfecting Gel, which is actually retinol, that helps the skin clear of acne and reveals new skin as it micropeels at night. When I first used the Baby Quasar, I was actually watching TV, and I just did what the instruction manual said, and the light didn’t irritate my skin at all. I noticed that as the frequencies became higher, the light became warmer on my skin, and my skin was slightly red ( but not in a bad way ) after my first use. The next day, I used it again, and I awaited for results.
Results came in unexpectedly faster than I had expected. After day 2, I felt that comedones were surfacing on my skin, as they became so easy to scrub off. So, it actually made the effect of my Tru Face Perfecting Gel faster! This is fantastic!
I will be testing it for a whole month to give you the actual results of these on the anti-acne department! Also, Shannon from GottaSpa has also done a review of this, check it out!

Where are the follow-up posts? I guess the device doesn’t work after all?
